Why I chose this blog name....

First the lyrics to the song that plays on my blog:

"Slow Motion" by David Gray

While I was watching you did a slow dissolve
While I was watching you did a slow dissolve
While I was watching you did a slow dissolve

Did I imagine or do the walls have eyes
Did I imagine they held us hypnotized
Did I imagine or do the walls have eyes

Life in slow motion somehow it don't feel real
Life in slow motion somehow it don't feel real
Life in slow motion somehow it don't feel real
Snowflakes are falling I'll catch them in my hands
Snowflakes are falling I'll catch them in my hands
Snowflakes are falling now you're my long lost friend

My father, William Watson, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly after being in the hospital.  His health just dissolved before our eyes. Needless to say I was devastated. It just didn't seem real. Riding home that night, it began to snow.  I watched the snowflakes fall as I cried. I'll never forget that.

My husband bought a beautiful Siberian Husky for our anniversary.  It might sound silly to you, but when I look into her bright blue eyes it reminds me of my father's kind, beautiful blue eyes. I never thought about the connection between Snowflake, her eyes, the song, her name... until last night while I was laying in bed.

So not only do I write this blog about the motion of Snow's events in her life and mine, but I dedicate it to the memory of my father. I love you Daddy!
In loving memory of William Dalton Watson May 28, 1950 - February 2, 2009

  1. I remember talking to you about the significance of the song that is playing. In my opinion, Snowflake is more than a pet, she is that part of you that you have been missing since your father passed. I'm glad that you have her, your awesome family, and your friends to be there and support you. Love ya homie!
